約20年前ぐらいに英語の先生に添削してもらった英語の日記が出てきたのでこちらに載せておこうと思います。

4/7 Mon. 映画鑑賞をした
映画『クレーム』『ディナーラッシュ』について書いていますが『クレーム』については全く覚えていません。
『クレーム』は『めぐりあう大地』という映画のことだったようです。
映画『めぐりあう大地』はウェス・ベントリーミラ・ジョヴォヴィッチが主演の映画です。
■I watched the American movies “The claim” and “Dinner rush” at the theatre.
私はアメリカの映画「めぐりあう大地」と『ディナーラッシュ』を映画館で観た。
■I was comfortable because the theatre was not crowded.
私は映画館が混んでいなかったので快適だった。
■The story of “The claim” was about 300 years ago in America.
『めぐりあう大地』のストーリーはは300年ぐらい前のアメリカのことだった。
■The story of “Dinner rush” was about an Italian restaurant in NY and the people working there and some customers eating dinner there.
ディナーラッシュのストーリーはニューヨークのイタリアンレストランで働く人々、ご飯を食べる人々についての話だった。
■The two movies were not boring, but I was not too interested.
その二つの映画は退屈ではなかったがそんなにおもしろくもなかった。
■One of the heroes in “The claim” was nicer than when I watched him before.
『めぐりあう大地』に出ていたヒーローの一人は私が以前観た時よりも素敵だった。
■When I was watching “Dinner rush”, I wanted to eat some fancy Italian cuisine.
ディナーラッシュを観たとき、私はしゃれたイタリア料理を食べたかった。
fancy：意味
”fancy” は “simple” の反対語として、必要以上に「凝った」「複雑な」「しゃれた」ものなんかにも使われます。

4/8 Tues. 歯医者とコンタクトレンズショップへ行く
■It was a very windy and rainy day.
今日は風が強く雨が降った日だった。
■I went to the dental clinic last Saturday, and I went there today again because I had some pain in my gums.
私は先週歯医者に行った。そしてまた私の歯茎が痛いので今日も歯医者へ行った。

■The doctor treated my gums, so my gums feel better.
医者は私の歯茎を治療したそして私の歯茎はよくなった。

■After I finished the treatment, I went to the contact lens shop because I couldn’t see everything clearly.
私は治療が終わった後、あらゆるものがよく見えなかったのでコンタクトレンズショップへ行った。
■I had my contact lenses examined, but there were no problems, but I don’t care.
私のコンタクトレンズは検査されたが問題なかった私は気にしない。

4/9 Wed. 片づけと友人の出産
■I put a lot of clothing away in my closet.
私はクローゼットにあるたくさんの服を片付けた。

■There was a lot of clothing in my closet that I didn’t need.
私には必要ない衣類が自分のクローゼットにたくさんあった。

私は近くに住む一家にたくさんの衣類をあげた。
■I received an E-mail from my friend.
私は友達からメールをもらった。
■It seemed that she gave birth to her baby yesterday.
友達は昨日出産したのだろうと思った。
■I am going to go to the hospital where she and her baby are tomorrow.
■Lately I am sleepy after I have dinner everyday and I always sleep.
■And I can’t sleep until after midnight.
4/10 Thurs.
I went to the hospital where my friend and her baby are.
She seemed to be bored in the hospital, so she was pleased with my visit.
Her baby was very small because he was born two days early.
She named him “Hajime”. I told her that my teacher said “Hajime” means “beginning”, and she laughed.
4/11 Fri.
I went shopping at the “Outlet”.
I was surprised that there were many very big shops and people.
Because I didn’t have much money, I could buy only cheap things.
